Ice Caves

A couple of weeks ago we all went on a hike up to the Ice Caves. I missed the last trip there so I was looking forward to seeing it. It was a perfect day and it was an awesome hike. The kids were great and the views were truly spectacular. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday. 

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Last weekend we headed out for a day at the pumpkin patch and we did things a little differently this year. For one, we went to a new farm that we hadn't been to before and we went much earlier in the month than usual. Both were a great idea! I was so impressed with the farm that we went to and couldn't believe how many different things there were to do. We also were able to enjoy it all without very big crowds. We spent several hours exploring all of the different areas and I'd go back to do it again we all had so much fun. I really do love this time of year.

Lost Tooth (actually missing this time)

Just a couple days after Cameron lost his tooth Addy had yet another loose tooth. The other day it was so loose it was just barely hanging on so Brian said he could pull it out for her if she wanted him to. Addy wanted to do it herself and amazingly she did! She just pulled it right out all by herself! Unfortunately when she went to show it to Brian and Cameron it fell out of her hands and right into the cracks of the deck. It went from a lost tooth to a missing tooth in about 5 seconds! Luckily we established that the tooth fairy was small enough to go find it, so she still came to visit. I've lost track of how many teeth Addy has lost, the next milestone will be for Addy and Cameron to lose one on the same day.

Part of Your World

A few weeks ago we took the kids to see a community production of The Little Mermaid. A friend of mine had a daughter in the show so we thought it would be fun for all of us to see her performance. We were so impressed with the talent of these kids! The show was great and everything from the singing to the costumes to the sets was incredibly impressive. It was very entertaining and the kids were still singing the songs for weeks.

Summer Catch up Part II

Another fun thing from the summer I forgot to write about was our annual trip to the fair. We did all of our favorites (baby pig barn!) petting zoo, rides and food. Some new additions this year were that both kids tried the bungie jump trampolines. They loved it and did a great job jumping super high in the air, next year they'll go for the flips! Cameron loved watching some of the car racing and this year we watched a lumberjack show. The kids loved watching them climb up the poles, roll the logs in the water and race each other chopping. It was another fun day at the fair!
