We are now proud season ticket holders to the Seattle Kraken hockey team! That meant we got to attend the grand opening of the new hockey complex where they practice. It included skating on the practice rink (one of three rinks!) and checking out some Kraken activities and of course the pro shop. It is an incredible facility and although I've never been to an NHL game, this seems like it's going to be pretty fun.
We kicked off our summer with camping at Fire Mountain over Memorial Day and we finished the summer by camping there again over Labor Day. It was great! The kids did all of the activities again and this time they had BB gun shooting. We had a new campsite to explore, had a great time exploring and came in 2nd in the "scramble" which is a timed scavenger hunt across the entire campground. It was a great way to end our camping season.
It's finally here! The kids have been extremely excited for the first day of school. It is all day, in person, 5 days a week! We haven't had that since March of 2020. The kids were counting down the days and have been very happy to have school back again. It's an adjustment for all of us to have a routine back, but it's been great and suddenly schedules are full again. Cameron has flag football and cub scouts. Addy has girl scouts and cross country. Brian and I are thrilled to have reasons to leave the house every day. Who knew you perspective could give you such appreciation for the little things. Also who are these kids that suddenly look so grown up?
