Lake Life!

We had a full week to enjoy ourselves at the lake. It wasn't quite the same without Brian who left to enjoy some well deserved home alone time, but we had an incredible time! The big news was that Addy mastered water skiing on the full size skis. No more starter skis for her!

There was fishing, jet skiing, paddle boarding, knee-boarding, boating and tubing. No accidents or major tears which was a win! We had the best time and the weather was again perfect. We also got to see a bunch of extended family since it was also Jack's HS graduation party. It was a wonderful sequel to the Best Week Ever, so we dubbed this one the Best Two Weeks Ever!

Stillwater

 For the first time in forever we actually spent some time in Stillwater on this trip. The kids said they couldn't even remember Papa's house, since we are always at the lake. It was super fun and the kids especially loved spending the night down at Izzy's Island. Cameron & Addy loved riding around with Uncle Tad on his new toy and we had 2 pickle ball tournaments! 

We also got to see a Twins game at Target field which was awesome. Cameron rocked his vintage Kirby Puckett t-shirt from his uncle Dennis from when he was a kid. It was great "city" time before heading up for the lake portion of the trip. 

Roadtrip!

The main reason we came back for 2 weeks for this trip was because Addy had her long awaited road trip with my Dad & Kathy and her cousin Izzy. The trip was rescheduled from last year because of COVID. They drove to South Dakota to see Mt Rushmore, the Badlands, Custer St Park, Reptile zoo and a ton of other attractions. It sounded like an amazing trip and they have the pictures to prove it. Here is just a taste of the fun Addy had on her trip. It exceeded her expectations which is pretty remarkable considering she was looking forward to this trip for over a year!

Boys Week

Addy and I had to cut our time short with Scott and Wendy so she could start her long awaited road trip, but that meant Brian and Cameron got a week with Grandma and Grandpa to themselves. They kept themselves busy with adventures every day including the pool, a baseball game, the park and apparently lots of ICE CREAM! Cameron loved playing old games of Brian's, he got to keep Brian's old cap gun and learned how to play electric battleship!

For the start of the loggers game, Cameron got pulled from the crowd and got to announce the start by yelling "play ball" I swear this kid is a lucky charm! They won and Cameron was super excited about the free donuts :) 

the 4th!

 The first leg of the trip was spent at Grandma & Grandpa's over the 4th. The whole extended family was there which was fun and we headed down to the Riverfest celebration downtown. It was HOT and it was super fun to watch the events, especially the fly boarding guy! We saw the bmx riders and the water skiers and the kids went back to see the fireworks show. 

The next day we got to see Great Grandma and Grandpa and it was so fun to see all the cousins together.
