Happy Birthday! Part 3

We didn't have the energy for a full-blown birthday party this year, so instead we just invited some of Addy's closest daycare friends to the gymnastics place by our house. It turned out to be so much fun! Everyone came and none of the other kids had been there before, so Addy got to show everyone how fun everything was. Everything was great until we gave out the cupcakes. Addy was devastated when hers was gone and there weren't any more. Oh well, every good 2-year-old party should have some drama. Happy Birthday! Part 2

After dinner we had all of Addy's presents together and we skyped with our families. Addy wasn't too sure about opening the presents themselves, but she definitely got into showing them off. She got some really great stuff! New crayons, paper & stamps, awesome bath toys, cool books, animals and clothes. Of course, because she is slightly crazy, her favorite thing was the froggy ice packs. She couldn't believe she had her very own ice packs AND that they were frogs AND that there were two of them. Even without a party, our house still looked like a disaster.

Happy Birthday! Part 1

Today was Addy's 2nd birthday! She came downstairs to find a balloon and a present by her chair and she said "no balloon! no present!" I was worried for how the rest of the day would go but she was pretty excited once she opened the present. She got her very own comb and brush and was very excited to use them.

Then after dinner we brought out a cupcake with candles. She wanted nothing to do with the candles but of course LOVED the cupcake.

Autumnal Addy

Two weeks ago was a beautiful fall weekend and Addy looked so darn cute I couldn't stand it. Of course I took tons of pictures and NONE of them were great, but here they are anyway. I seriously wish I could stop time and have it be October all year long. BEST MONTH EVER.

Bye Bye Mama...Hello Gramma

It has been a busy week. One week ago Wendy flew in to spend the week with Addy, the next day I flew to China for work. We were lucky enough to have her come and help Brian and Addy got to be spoiled by her Gramma (thanks for the presents!) I got to skype with them a couple of times during my trip which was both awesome and heartbreaking at the same time. Here are some pictures of their time together. Thanks again Gramma!

The Most Wonderful Season of All

No I don't mean Christmas, I mean Fall! I absolutely LOVE this time of year and this weekend was the best. We had a cool crisp autumn weekend and took advantage by heading to the pumpkin patch. This one was amazing! They not only had pumpkins, but a corn maze and hay ride and ponies and a cow ride. Not to mention all of the delicious food. I think I probably enjoyed it more than Addy. Yay for October!!
