Cross Country

This past weekend we went out of town for a long weekend to the Methow Valley in the north Cascade mountains. My second cousin Robin (our grandmothers were sisters) and her husband Chuck winter in the valley every year and invited us up for the weekend. We had such a great time. The scenery was beautiful, the skiing was great and the company was wonderful. Addy was a real trooper throughout the whole weekend.

The first day Brian was the trooper since he carried Addy on the pack for an 8K cross-country ski loop. She did great and fell asleep again in the carrier. Back at the condo she read up on the trails guide and planned out what trails we should hit the next day and was ready to head out again.

On Sunday we got out on the skis again in the morning before the rain moved in and it was wonderful. We thought maybe Addy would want to play in the snow, but she wanted nothing to do with it. Then we just hung out in the town and had lunch at the Oldest Legal Saloon in Washington. The next day we had a wonderful birthday brunch (with pie!) and then headed back on the road. It was a great weekend!
