North Cascades

A couple weekends ago we went camping in the North Cascades. We booked this months in advance and of course it was the one weekend of the summer that was forecasting rain. We decided to chance it and unfortunately the rain won.

Brian went a day early to secure the site and I stayed with the kids so they could go to their last day of camp. We drove up the next day and had a nice evening with our friends. Probably the highlight of the trip was going to this waterfall that had lights all inside it. It's located next to the damn for Seattle City light and it was really cool.

From there it rained all night long, the kids tent got soaked inside and there was no sign of it letting up. We could have stayed another night in the rain, but twice as long in the rain is not twice as fun so we packed it up. Hard to complain given how badly we needed the rain.
