Field Trip 3- Downtown LaCrosse

Since the weather was so beautiful (one day it was 82!) we got to enjoy some time outside in downtown LaCrosse. We walked along the river and in this beautiful city garden and found a park named after Cameron!

Field Trip 2- Children's museum

We got to take both kids to the Children's museum in LaCrosse which was super fun because it is such a cool museum and has such different things than the one here. Addy spent the majority of the time in the Kwik Trip checking out the food and making lunch for all of us. It was awesome. Cameron also had a good time and is finally at an age where he do things himself rather than just watching Addy.

Field Trip 1- Apple Orchard

We got to take the kids on some awesome field trips while visiting Grandma and Grandpa.  We took them to an apple orchard & farm that had a corn maze and rides and a haunted house which Addy refused to go in. My favorite is Cameron in his John Deere t-shirt in the John Deere wagon and Addy and Grandma riding their tractors. We had a great time, it was just perfect out and reminded me of how much I love this time of year.

Trip Continued

In addition to seeing their great grandparents, Adelyn and Cameron got to see both of their aunts and uncles on Brian's side. Addy got to spend some quality time with Aunt Carrie and Aunt Heather and Cameron enjoyed checking out the "scratchy beards" of Uncle Dennis and Uncle Andrew.
The weather was absolutely perfect and we got to spend a lot of time outside which was nice. We kept telling Addy to enjoy the sun while she could because she wouldn't see it for a long time and then she cried, "but I will miss the sun if I don't see it for a long time." Yes, Addy, you will.

The "Great" Greats

There were a lot of highlights from our trip but one of the best ones was that Cameron got to meet his Great Grandma Elaine and Great Grandpa Bill (Brian's grandparents) and his Great Grandma Ruby(my grandma) for the first time. We got to celebrate Elaine's 80th birthday which was very special and we got to go see Grandma Ruby at the farm. Both Brian and I are so lucky to have such amazing grandparents and we really enjoyed seeing them spend time with Adelyn and Cameron. They really are some great great-grandparents!

A Week in Wisconsin

We're back! It's October! How is this happening? Where is the time going? We survived our trip back to Wisconsin to see family. So much to report on in coming posts, but currently we are still unpacking and adjusting to getting back into our normal routine. The highlights include: Cameron rocked his first trip on an airplane, Addy is officially a seasoned traveler, both kids were solidly spoiled by family, Cameron got to meet several relatives for the first time, we got to enjoy some 80 degree weather, Brian, Addy and Cameron all experienced their first "buoya" and Brian and I got to have a date night. All in all it was a great trip, lots more to come soon. We somehow have 600 pictures from this trip!
