15 months

Yesterday I took Cameron in for his 15 month check up. As usual, he was a total charmer for the nurse and doctor, showing off all of his "tricks". While we were waiting for the Dr. he couldn't wait to get down and walk around so I just put his tennis shoes on with his diaper. I couldn't help but take some photos because he looked so funny.

The stats are no surprise- 80%-90% on all levels.
Height= 32 inches
Weight= 26.2 lbs
Head = 48.3 cm

What was a surprise is that he had a double ear infection! He had no signs of it at all, no fever, no crabbiness, nothing. Just shows what a happy boy he is that he doesn't even complain even with a double ear infection. Luckily he loves the medicine so hopefully it clears up quickly.

Look What I Can Do

Cameron is constantly entertaining us at the dinner table. Some "tricks" are more enjoyable than others. The other night he clearly impressed himself as he balanced his sippy cups on top of one another. I absolutely love how incredibly proud of himself he is whenever he does something new. He always makes sure that it's noticed and then generally does it again to get the same reaction.
Hard to believe he's already 15 months old. Stats next week after his appointment!

My Big Little Boy

Last weekend I got together with some of my girlfriends for a brunch with our kids & my friend took some quick photos of the everyone. Addy was at swimming which meant Cameron didn't have to compete with her for the camera. Here are some of my favorites of Cameron and I'm so thrilled to finally have adorable pictures of him that are not from 6 months ago!
I look at these and have moments where I feel like it must be someone else's kid because there is no way my little baby is that big already. He is changing so quickly it is truly unbelievable to me. Part of me wants him to stay like this forever and part of me wants him to be 4 because 4 year olds are pretty special. All of me realizes my kids are at a very special age and I need to soak it in while I can!

Glox in Box

It's true what they say that kids are more interested in the boxes that toys come in, than the toys themselves. Or in our case, the box the diapers come in. The kids have been obsessed with the box, Cameron loves to get inside, Addy loves to put things in it. Ah, the simple pleasures in life.

Children's Museum

The kids went to the children's museum a few weeks ago and it's so fun to see how they play together. Addy started building a house and of course Cameron wanted in, so we tried putting him into the house. He didn't love that so much.
Cameron liked the barber chair but thought it was the most fun to sit on the bottom and push the foot rest up and down. It's funny to see the difference between the two because when Addy was little she would always want to do the same thing and would spend the entire time in one area. Cameron goes into every area and doesn't seem too interested in any one thing for too long.

B is for Book

I can honestly say that I've never seen another child that loves books the way that Addy does and I've always said that if Cameron likes them even half as much we will be lucky. It's probably too early to say for sure but I think we've successfully gotten him hooked as well. He will now take the books off the shelves and look through them, or even bring one to you for you to read. At night he is definitely into the books and has very strong opinions about which ones to read (Good Night Moon and Good Night Gorilla are his favorites). Of course his love for the camera still seems to be stronger than his love of books so he quickly got distracted, but you get the idea.

Every Last Bite

One of the things that I remember most about my mom was that she loved eating the last bits and crumbs of any dessert from the pan. That crusty part of an apple crisp that's stuck to the pan? Her favorite.  I can picture her scraping the last part of whatever was left and enjoying every bite. It is clear to me that Addy has the same trait. She often will lick her plate clean to be sure to get every bite. The other day we were eating the last of some cake and I found her with the container trying to get every last crumb, and she did.
