Happy Feet

Several months ago Addy started going to a soccer classes through her school called Happy Feet. It's a 30 minute class involving songs and games adapted to incorporate a soccer ball and soccer moves. Addy loved it so we decided to sign her up for a soccer class through the city program. Her first practice was on Saturday and it was adorable. It was so cute to see a field full of 3 year old "playing" soccer. Addy did a great job and listened to everything the coaches said and most importantly had a lot of fun. I can already picture my future role as a soccer mom, bring on the minivan.

Fashion Crisis Part 2

After seeing how distraught Adelyn was over her broken high heels, I thought she would be thrilled when she saw the new ones I picked up (on sale!) even though they didn't look the same as her old ones. She discovered them in my closet and correctly guessed that they were for her. However, she instantly started crying, which wasn't the reaction I was expecting. She cried and said "but I don't like these ones, they aren't beautiful." So I told her I could take them back if she didn't like them. She started to cry again and said, "no, I want them, but after they break will you buy me new ones that don't make me cry?"

Seriously, sometimes I just can't win.

Osh Gosh

When I first found out I was having a boy, I immediately thought of mud and overalls. I don't know why but that's where my mind goes when I think of little boys. One of our neighbors gave Cameron his first pair of overalls right after he was born. Of course at the time they looked huge so I put them in the closet, by the time I got them out they were already almost too small. So I had to document his first time in these overalls. Such a little man!

All Work...Some Play

Because there are never enough hours in the day, I'm always doing multiple things at once. Unfortunately for Cameron this means I'm generally trying to finish something while I'm with him, but I do try and keep things fun for him. Luckily, he's a pretty easy audience. This picture says it all. The laundry isn't going to fold itself, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun.

Toothless No More

It's official! Cameron has his first tooth. It's on the bottom and it's broken through. I couldn't get a picture because he isn't showing it off and he won't let you anywhere near it. He has been the fussiest he's ever been though, getting up multiple times per night and not falling asleep easily like he usually does. This sure makes me appreciate how easy he normally is because we are working for it right now! He also has a cold so that doesn't help. Poor little guy is a mess.
He is also moving around like crazy. He rolls in every direction and I find him in a new spot every night in the crib. I put him on the wood floor today and he scooted all around. The days of him staying where you leave him are gone.

Fashion Crisis

The other night Addy was dressing up like a princess (again) when a major fashion emergency occurred. Addy had been stomping like crazy with her high heels on and one of the heels broke. She immediately broke into tears and showed me the two pieces saying in between her sobs "Daddy....has....to....fix....these"

I assured her Daddy would do his best but that they might be beyond repair. Unfortunately I was right. When Addy found out about this it was even more heartbreaking then when they initially broke. Who knew the obsession with women and their shoes could start so young.

A Party for Princesses

This past weekend Addy had the honor of attending Lilja's 6th birthday party. Lilja's birthdays are famous for being perfectly planned, coordinated down to the finest detail and all in all amazing from beginning to end. There was Lady Bug theme, Hello Kitty, and this year Addy's personal favorite- Princesses! Specifically Cinderella, which is of course Addy's favorite. She was over the moon that she got to wear her Cinderella costume again (and her Cinderella crown, necklace and princess high heels). She could not have been more enthralled with a party. Even though she was much younger than all of the other girls, she did a pretty good job of hanging with them.
I was simply amazed by the details of the party and stayed in a sugar coma for most of it. It was a great afternoon!
