5 months

Cameron is already 5 months old! He now rolls over in both directions from either side. He also likes to turn in circles like a clock. Sometimes when I get him from the crib he's laying in a completely different direction. He also loves to sing. He loves to hear his voice and he gives zerbits, especially on his wrists. He's more aware of his feet now and often grabs for them. He also seems very interested in what we are eating. No food for him yet but I have a feeling he'll love it when he gets it.
At daycare he loves the jumper and car saucer. He also still does a great job during tummy time. He is a very laid back baby and is especially tolerant of his big sister's hugs and kisses. He is such a little man to me and I just can't resist kissing those chubby cheeks (and arms, and legs, and belly....)!

Mother's Day

I am feeling pretty good after an amazing Mother's Day weekend. Friday night I met my mom friends out for dinner and it was so good to catch up with everyone. Since Cam is one of the younger babies a lot of the other babies are already eating solids and getting teeth!
On Saturday afternoon we dropped the kids off (where we went for Easter) and Brian and I went wine tasting, had dinner and dessert. It was fabulous. Addy of course didn't want to leave when we got there to pick her up and she already wants to go back.
And today has just been so relaxing. Brian let me sleep in this morning and we had a lazy morning, I got time to work out and just enjoy the kids. We went for a nice walk after dinner. It was wonderful day and I couldn't ask for much more.

Swings!

The other week Brian put in the baby swing on our outdoor set for Cameron so now he can swing too. He loves it! We have been enjoying it during our week of sunny weather. Addy is very good about gently pushing him on the swing. I can already imagine a lot of future fun to be had this summer in the backyard.

Play Date Cafe

Here are some photos from our play date last weekend with Addy's friend Harper. The girls loved the jumping house and the ball pit. Cameron had fun hanging out too, he didn't cry once the entire time we were there. 

Sunny Days

We had our 3rd day in a row of +75 degree weather and it was amazing! It felt like summer and it was awesome. We got a little kiddy pool for Addy to play in and both kids got new sun hats. We planted flowers, BBQ'd and ate out on the deck. It was an awesome weekend. If only it would stay like this through August. It's supposed to be sunny all week, I'll enjoy it while I can!

All the Single Mama's

I don't pretend to be super mom and I never will, but I will admit I'm feeling proud of myself for not only surviving 4 days while Brian was out of town, but actually enjoying it. The kids were great (minus Cam's refusal to nap in his crib) and it was a good reminder for me how lucky I am to have such a great partner in Brian. It also made me realize that all of the single parents out there are truly remarkable. Hats off to them!

New Kicks

The other day my coworker brought me some shoes from her son to give to Cameron. They are so cute I can't stand it. There is something about little tiny shoes that gets me every time. Even if they aren't practical, you can't help but love them.

These shoes are still too big for Cam, but I just can't wait until he wears them.
