The last few days have been quite an adventure with Addy. It all started with some innocent bumps on the back of her legs on Friday that I assumed were from playing the tall grass at her school. They were gone Saturday morning but then reappeared midday in different spots all over her body. She had a very slight fever Saturday night but woke up feeling fine Sunday morning. Her bumps reappeared, again in different spots all over her body. She said she felt normal though and had normal energy & appetite, until Sunday night when her fever spiked. I was all set to take her to a walk-in clinic on Monday but after I gave her a bath that morning she didn't have a spot on her and her fever was totally gone. She was feeling normal all day until that night when her fever returned again.
I was able to get her in on Tuesday morning to see the Dr. who said she thought her bumps were hives, although they never did make another appearance. She still had a mild fever so we treated her with Benadryl and Tylenol. Unfortunately on Wednesday her fever was still there so she stayed home from school another day. Luckily she was able to spend the day with our wonderful neighbors (I think it's safe to say it was her most fun "sick" day ever!) and this morning she finally woke up fever-free and was able to return to school. Her energy was back and she returned to her silly self. Thank goodness that is over and I'm so grateful Cameron didn't catch it. Although he did tell me he was sick when he found out Adelyn was going to Bob & Sylvia's because she was sick. He said & I quote, "I go to Bob & Sylvia's too. I sick. I'm not feeling well" and he said this all with his devilish little grin.

Addy's Shadow
Another one of my favorite things about Addy's graduation was that her teacher had done silhouette outlines of each child and had them in a row on the wall of the gym. It was very cute seeing the shadows holding hands and standing in line. The coolest part was that we got to take "Addy" home. So now we have Addy's silhouette hanging on the wall. It makes me smile every time I see it because I just can't believe how quickly my little girl is growing up.

Potty Time!
We have been working on going potty on the potty with Cameron for awhile now and I think it's really starting to pay off. This weekend he went several hours wearing underwear without having an accident and even suggested himself that he should try the potty (rather than me asking every 10 minutes!) He will almost always at least try and lately he almost always goes whenever he tries. He is quite proud of himself and the reward of jelly beans is paying off (we are almost all out!).
We are on a streak right now where he's gone 3 mornings in a row and this morning he was even dry when he woke up! I love that he is still super excited every time he goes and it's just too cute to see him in his little underwear. So far so good with this stage, hopefully the streak continues!
**Update- this was my blog draft and then last night Brian was outside with the kids while Cameron was wearing underwear. When it was time to go inside Brian could instantly tell Cameron had pooped while wearing his underwear. Unfortunately (for Brian, not me) I wasn't home so Brian had to deal with our first accident of this sort with Cameron. Hopefully it was a good lesson and next time he'll go inside!

Good night Cameron
Cameron has always been very easy at night when going to bed. Lately he's been especially sweet and quite funny. Here are a few examples.
We still put diaper cream on at night to keep rashes away. He suddenly started calling it tartar sauce and then insists on making sure I don't forget to put the tartar sauce on his butt. He can barely say it without laughing and then has to repeat it over and over, "mommy put tartar sauce on my butt!" and then asks, "why you put tartar sauce on my butt Mommy?"
A few weeks ago my friend Kyle came to visit. Cameron had never even met him, but after hanging out with him for just a couple of hours when it was time for his nap he said, "I want him to put me down. I want Kyle." So Kyle graciously agreed and it was so funny to listen to them talk and read stories. When Cameron woke up from his nap, Kyle was already gone, but Cameron kept saying, "where's Kyle? I want to see Kyle."
Last week I was reading to Cameron and after we said our prayers he leaned up to give me my kiss. But this time he held my face really tight and leaned in with a wide open mouth saying "Mwah!" I started laughing and leaned back to avoid his wet kiss. He of course thought this was hilarious and I'm not exaggerating he must have done it 25 more times that night. By the end we were both laughing hysterically. He's tried to repeat it a few times by trying to lick me but luckily I've successfully avoided his puppy kisses.

Graduation Girl
Friday was Adelyn's pre-K graduation at school. It was truly one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. I wasn't sure what to expect and I certainly didn't expect to see them in full cap and gowns! It almost instantly brought tears to my eyes to see Addy come out with a cap and gown walking up to a stage listening to pomp & circumstance. The kids were all very serious and proud of themselves it was quite sweet. They sang songs, had a slide show, got their diplomas and then had to say what they wanted to be when they grew up. Adelyn said she wanted to be a teacher and we know that is because she has the best teacher ever in Miss Amelia. We could not be happier with her school and her teacher. Addy is definitely ready for kindergarten after having such a wonderful experience at her school. Here are some pictures from the special day.
How cute are a bunch of 5 year olds dressed up in caps & gowns, she even got to keep the tassle!
Showing off her cap, flowers & diploma.
Her best friend Maya
Her incredible teacher Miss Amelia
Celebrating with some cake with her friends!

KidzDance- Video of Addy
KidzDance- Video of Cameron
Making videos is not my specialty, but this should suffice. Cameron was especially cute that day and quite proud of his dance skills. Much prouder than I am of my video making skills.
