Winter Wonderland- Part 1

We got to Winthrop and it was certainly the most "winter" any of us have seen this year. One morning it was only 5 degrees and we thought it was going to be especially chilly on the trails. Turns out cross-country skiing is A LOT of work so we never should have been worried about being cold. Although I think what made Brian sweat the most was trying to soothe Addy. We had a pulk for Addy to sit in that we would pull which seemed like a genius way to get our skiing in. (Brian really wasn't into the idea of carrying her on his shoulders, that was hard enough last year and she's grown considerably since then). Well, everyone thought it was a great idea, everyone except Addy. She did not care for the pulk, she cried and cried and threw a fit, but after a long "pit-stop" on the side of a trail, we made progress! We got her in and she fell asleep within a few minutes. It was perfect! Both Brian and I were humbled by how out of shape we are, so it didn't take long for us to be exhausted and ready to call it a day, but it was so beautiful and a lot of fun. Can't wait for next year's trip, maybe we can put Addy on skis?
