For this year's ski season Brian and I decided to try something new. Instead of keeping weekends open to try and spend a 12-14 hour day getting to and from the ski resort for 6 hours of skiing we decided to plan some destination trips and do back-to-back days of skiing. We currently have two trips planned and our first one was last weekend to Mt. Baker. It had some highs (chapter 3) and lows (chapter 2), but overall was a great weekend!
The kids had no school last Monday (because why not?) so we rented a cabin near Mt. Baker for Saturday-Monday. We left Saturday afternoon so Cameron didn't have to miss hockey (another challenge to this year's ski season). It was an easy drive and the cabin was awesome. Perfect for what we needed and much more enjoyable than a hotel. The kids were thrilled to have space to run around and Brian and I were thrilled to not have them sleep in our room. The trip was off to a great start!
